In 1961, at the start of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ferrari's superiority was about to become hegemonic. After its 1960 victory over Aston Martin, the prancing horse brand was determined to prove the efficiency of its TR61 and 250GT. The Aston Martins were not able to compete with the TR61s and 250GTs, and only the Maseratis were able to compete for a while. But after more than 4,000 kilometres of asphalt covered, three Ferraris occupy the first three places in the general classification. But this is only the beginning of a new era!
Historical anecdotes, enlightening asides and glimpses behind the scenes punctuate the narrative of this new album devoted to the years 1961 to 1963 of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Led by the exemplary erudition of Denis Bernard and Christian Papazoglakis, thrills, dramas and twists and turns are the order of the day in these three remarkable years for motor sport.
