It is difficult to talk about American motorbikes without mentioning custom culture and its most extreme form popularised in the 1960s, the Chopper, particularly with the exposure generated by the film Easy Rider.

Journalist Charlie Lecach and photographer Amaury Cibot have decided to look back at this movement in detail in the book Chopper: Mécanique d'un mouvement published by EPA.

The book retraces the history of this trend, which originated in the United States, but also the history of enthusiasts from all over the world who are constantly pushing back the limits of their imagination by offering portraits of them and opening the doors of their garages and workshops to discover unique creations.
