François Cevert was the "Little Prince" of motor racing. His professional racing career lasted only a few years, from the mid-1960s until October 6, 1973, when he was killed in an accident at Watkins Glen during qualifying for the United States Grand Prix. He was the partner of the great Jackie Stewart. Young, handsome, cultured, and very popular, François Cevert was the symbol of the revival of French motor racing.
